cup stacking

When A. went to Kindergarten orientation, someone mentioned cup stacking to me.  I thought it was the most ridiculous thing that I had ever heard.  What on earth is stacking cups?  How do you have a team of stacking cups?

However, when A. went into 1st grade, she was asked to be on the team.  She would go one morning a week and practice her stacking.  She LOVED it.

This year, is the only time that these two will be in the same school until high school.  So, when A was invited and K was also able to participate, we jumped on it.

I mean, why stop at cup stacking.  There are also jumbo cups and mini cups.

This year, they had a show case at the end of the "season"  Since it is the only time that they can be on the same team, B. and I both wanted to go.  I had to stop by and do some last minute snack pick up because, well, three kids has not helped me be prepared.  B. loaded up the kiddos and was going to meet me there.  As soon as we pulled up in the parking lot, A. revealed that she left her back pack at home.  Daddy, being awesome, went home to get it.  But, A. could not concentrate.  She was sooo sad that he was missing the showcase.

She perched herself by the window.  At first, she was just waiting.  Then other parents would try to get her engaged.  Then other kids went to invite her over.  Then the tears started.  That poor thing missed a huge portion of her showcase.  Thankfully,  her time is something like 22 seconds so once she did finally get to show Daddy, it didn't take long!
